What Painting Gel Does

Standard color gel flows and self-levels. Line Art Gel is runnier for hair-thin freehand lines. Painting Gel is thicker and holds shape — letting techs sculpt petals with dimension, layer color for shading, and paint character detail that stays crisp through curing.

Painting Gel Techniques

3D floral petals — sculpt raised petals with a 000 brush, cure in layers for depth. Character illustration — anime figures, retro cartoons, portrait art. Botanical fill — leaf shapes, berries, seasonal foliage. Ombre painting — blend 2–3 colors while wet for gradient depth.

Application & Cure

Apply over cured base color. Use a fine detail brush (000 or 0-size) to sculpt shape. Cure 60 seconds under 36W–48W UV/LED lamp per detail layer. Seal final art with LDS Top Coat.
