Frequently Asked Questions

Does Poly Extension Gel (New Formula) cause a heat spike on cure?

Lavis structural gels are formulated for low-heat cure. Clients feel a slight warmth on thick builds but not the sharp spike common with cheaper poly gels. Keep bead thickness under 2mm to minimise heat.

Poly gel vs Builder Gel (BIAB) - which do I use?

Poly gel gives more structural extension with easier shaping - best for full-length adds. Builder gel (BIAB) is thinner and applied like polish - best for overlays on natural nails. For thick extensions, use poly. For natural-look strength, use BIAB.

What slip solution works with this product?

Any standard slip solution or 91%+ isopropyl alcohol. Lavis sells its own slip solution for consistent brush glide. Avoid water - it weakens the structural cure.
