LAVIS - BASE GEL TOP

About Lavis Base Gel and Top Coat

Lavis Base Gel and Top Coat is the full Lavis base and top coat range - rubber base, buildable base, no-wipe top, matte top, and Diamond Top Coat for Cat Eye and Reflective effects. Foundational products that anchor every Lavis service - the layer under and over your colour work.

What's in the range

  • Base coats - rubber base, buildable base, non-sticky base
  • Top coats - no-wipe top, matte top, and Diamond Top for Cat Eye and Reflective
  • Prep products - dehydrator, primer, Protein Bond, 2-in-1
  • HEMA-free across the gel-based range

Which base and top to pick

  1. For standard gel polish: Lavis rubber base + Lavis no-wipe top.
  2. For Cat Eye: standard base, but MUST use Diamond Top - the magnetic shimmer only reads fully under Diamond Top.
  3. For Reflective and Chrome: Diamond Top preserves the flash effect.
  4. For weak or thin natural nails: add Lavis Protein Bond before base for a strengthening layer.
  5. For salon speed: use the 2-in-1 Primer and Protein Bond to save a step.

Why order from Lavis Nails

Lavis stocks the full foundation range in one place - base, top, Diamond, prep and 2-in-1 - so salons don't need to source across multiple brands. Pair with Lavis Signature Gel Polish (276 shades) or Lavis Cat Eye Collections for a complete gel service kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Diamond Top for every service?

Only for Cat Eye, Reflective, Wave and Chrome effect gels. For standard gel polish services, the Lavis no-wipe top or matte top gives longer wear at lower cost per set.

Is Lavis base coat HEMA-free?

Yes - the Lavis gel base and top coat range is HEMA-free. Compatible with sensitivity-conscious clients when paired with the HEMA-free Lavis colour and Cat Eye lines.

What lamp works with Lavis base and top?

Any 48W+ UV/LED lamp fully cures the Lavis base and top range. Cure time is 60 seconds per coat. Some Diamond Top variants benefit from 90s for max hardness.
